Established June 12, 1978, Soundcrafters is a privately held Florida corporation whose main business is the retail sales, service, and installation of mobile electronics and automotive related accessories. Founded and owned by industry activist and 50 year industry veteran Paul Papadeas, Soundcrafters is centrally located in the marketplace at 2400 South Ridgewood Ave. at the Sunshine Plaza. Our showroom and service bays occupy approximately 7000 square feet; 4000 of which are climate-controlled installation bays with the remainder showrooms, storerooms and offices. Originally a family owned and operated business, Soundcrafters nurtured its integrity in the marketplace due to the owner’s personal principles. These include ethical business practices, superior product knowledge, professional workmanship, and exemplary customer service. Papadeas makes certain that his employees feel that they are part of a family, a team of professionals that have great core values. Our team relates to each other without rivalry or "one upmanship"; we support each other because we believe that a “unified mindset” and common goals creates success.
This all comes naturally. Soundcrafters earned its reputation as a progressive dealer early on with its first national media exposure in the late 1980’s. Trade magazine articles of our position and progression abound as Soundcrafters began producing the annual Spring Break Nationals (SBN) Mobile Electronics Expo at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. This, for 32 years, furthered Soundcrafters’ exposure both locally and nationally. SBN was the nation’s and the Ocean Center’s largest and longest running event that brought millions of dollars into our local economy. This event spawn another movement for Papadeas, the acquisition of a trade association of Car Audio Dealers. The association, called the International Auto Sound Challenge Association, (IASCA) planted its roots in 1987. By 1999 IASCA was failing. Before Papadeas could let a vitally important trade association go bankrupt, he bought their debt and regenerated the firm to restore its international influence. Papadeas and IASCA personnel traveled internationally to perform training of industry standards of sound quality and installation integrity judging of car audio systems to be held at events like his own, the SBN. Over 45 years since opening the doors, Soundcrafters lives by the standards of industry which they have contributed to and upheld throughout several recessions and a pandemic!
Industry acclaimed and awarded: including Industry Contributor of the Year 1994, Top 10 Dealers, Top 100 Installers… there is a reason that Soundcrafters is rated the best around.
